​Krishna is interviewed about how life was for her family when she was growing up, and how life has changed as the tradition of women's roles have shifted. A lifestyle usually consisted of families coming together, helping their children make wise decisions in marriage; and the woman being the sustaining central figure of the home.

​Ludmila gives an account of living in Ukraine for 20 years, and then Russia, when they were the USSR. She says growing up felt safe and education opportunities were plentiful from childhood up to University. She felt proud of their education and that they had "the best universities in the world."
